Are Your Beliefs Limiting Or Empowering You?

Like it or not, our beliefs play a big role in determining the quality of our lives.

If you believe that math is tough, there is someone out there who believes it is easy. If you believe that it is easy to make a million dollars, there is someone out there who believes it is impossible. If you believe that times are tough, there is always somebody out there who believes it is a great time to make money!

At this time, many people would argue,

But what if the beliefs I have are really true?

What if I am really not good at selling?

What if it the economy is really down and going to stay down?

What if there are really no opportunities around?

What if it cannot be done? What if I don’t have what it takes?

What you must understand is that the beliefs you have are never absolutely true. Beliefs are not proven facts. They are nothing but perceptions, opinions, generalizations we make about the world around us.

For every belief you hold, no matter how much you think it is true, there is always somebody out there with a totally opposite belief. And to them, their belief is as valid as yours is to you.

The following example illustrates how one person has the power to change the belief of others.

Breaking the Beliefs of the World

For hundreds of years, runners had never been able to run one mile in less than four minutes. Many had attempted this feat but had fallen short.

As a result, it was generally believed, and supposedly backed up as fact by the medical community, that it was not possible for a human being to run that fast!

All these changed in 1954, when defying all conventions, all it took was for a single person to break these facts and records.

Roger Bannister, a postgraduate student from Oxford University set a goal to be the first to break this ‘impossible record’. The fact was that he was nowhere near being the best runner of his time. There were many other runners better than he.

But this didn’t deter Roger. Besides physical training, he engaged in a lot of mental training. He kept visualizing himself breaking the four-minute time barrier.

Then, on May 6, 1954, Roger Bannister stunned the world by running the mile in three minutes and 54 seconds. That was not the most amazing thing.

What was truly amazing was that, within a year, 37 other runners had broken his record. Within the next three years, over 300 runners had repeated the same feat.

For so long, nobody came close to Roger Bannister’s record. The minute an ‘ordinary’ person achieved the feat, it led to many others achieving it too.

This proves that what holds people back in tapping their fullest potential and achieving their goals is not a lack of capability, but a lack of strong empowering beliefs.

Beliefs are never absolutely true, but it becomes totally true for the person who believes in it! This is simply because whatever we believe becomes our reality.

The essence is for us to constantly challenge ourselves by examining the effects of our beliefs, and finally to adopt empowering beliefs that will lead us to success.

Use The Power Of Your Subliminal Thoughts To Change Your Life

Do you find yourself slipping into negative thoughts and emotions throughout your day? Each day we have 50,000 thoughts. Although many of these thoughts are subliminal in nature each one of them is creative. When you have a thought that creates strong emotion it not only affects your mood but also your actions. Your actions then affect your life! Therefore it is clear to see that your thinking determines your reality and the results you get in life.

There is a very important rule that governs your life which you must understand if you wish to create more of what you want. This rule is unbreakable and if you look very closely at the results you have been getting and the people, circumstances and situations that you have drawn to you till now, you will find ample evidence that this rule exists. The rule is very simple to explain but sometimes extremely difficult to manipulate. The rule is: You always get more of what you focus on.

Every action you take or reaction you find yourself performing is a result of some initial thought or group of thoughts. Although it is how you feel about things which determines how you act and react in certain situations and around other people, your emotions only exist because they are generated by your thinking. So in order to change the results you are getting in life it is imperative that you first change your thinking.

Do you find yourself caught in a downward spiral of negative thinking and negative living?

Your predominant thoughts really do create your reality. As your results in life are just a mirror of your thoughts, you have the power to change your life because you have the power to change your thinking.

If it is really true that we get more of what we focus on in life then shouldn’t you be more interested in what you are thinking about all day? The problem with most people is that they believe they are thinking about what they want when they complain about wanting more money, wanting better relationships, wanting to lose weight etc. Because they have the desire to better their situation they falsely believe they are focusing on what they want. However, by thinking about all the negative aspects of a situation that you are currently in or by having thoughts that dwell on the fact that you do not have something that you want, you are focusing on the lack of it. By focusing on the lack of something you are actually creating more lack for yourself in the future. You are, in fact, focusing on what you do not want and therefore drawing more of that into your life.

The first thing to become aware of is that most of these thoughts are unconscious and act as self induced subliminal messages. They are affirmations you are giving to yourself thousands of times a day. The only reason these thoughts are unconscious in nature is because you have trained yourself to become unaware of them. They are habituated thought processes that happen automatically. When you begin to analyse your own thinking you will be surprised at the amount of negative thoughts you continually think throughout your day.

The majority of ordinary people find it very difficult to completely change a negative thought to a positive one using conscious effort alone. Therefore, there are several techniques and tools that have been developed to make this process much easier. I have personally witnessed the amazing power of subliminal messages to create new thinking patterns and also use some other neat techniques one of which I will now share with you. Do not underestimate the power and effectiveness of doing this. It can and will change your thoughts and thus your emotions which will lead to different actions which in turn will change your life!

One of the most powerful methods to change negative thinking into its positive opposite involves the use of questions. A few examples of negative thoughts you may have are as follows: “I’m sick of being in bad relationships”, “My spouse doesn’t understand me”, “Why can’t I find a decent partner?”, “I wish I was in a loving relationship”.

Now all of the above negative statements are ensuring you get more of what they represent. You are focusing on what you do not want.

So once you identify that you have been thinking in this way begin to turn it around by asking positive questions about the situation. Look at the examples below.

If you think “I’m sick of being in bad relationships”, you would ask yourself, “What do I need to do to improve my relationships?”

When you think “My spouse doesn’t understand me”, ask yourself, “How can I better express myself to my partner?”

After you think “I wish I was in a loving relationship”, ask yourself, “What do I need to do to create a loving relationship in my life and find my perfect partner?”

By asking empowering questions you force your mind in a new direction. For example by asking why all your relationships are bad you are asking your subconscious mind to answer that question. Therefore, before you know it you are thinking of all the reasons why your relationships are bad. However, by asking yourself what you need to do to create better relationships your subconscious mind begins searching for ways to make that happen and returns thoughts to you that are in harmony with that goal. Your thinking becomes more positive and your path gets clearer.

Using this approach to change your thinking will produce tremendous results in your life. If you use it in conjunction with a proven tool, such as subliminal message programming, you will quickly change your predominant thoughts, your actions and reactions and thus your life!

Why You Need Oxygen To Work The Law Of Attraction

The law of attraction is all about magnetizing your visualization so that whatever that you have asked the universe for, will be attracted to you. One of the most important practices to harness the powers of electro-magnetic energy in the body is to sleep with the head of the bed pointing North, parallel to the earth’s magnetic poles. When all the molecules in the body are synchronized in one direction, they become magnetic, and will draw whatever you wish for from the universe.

Another important element in harnessing this magnetic energy is the practice of deep breathing. Oxygen is food for the brain and it has magnetic qualities. Practice deep breathing in an opened window where the air is fresh.  Do not breathe the petrol-laden air of the streets, because they contain contaminants like carbon monoxide that poisons the body cells. If you can help it, breathe the morning air in the garden, where fresh oxygen has just been produced from the plants’ photosynthesis. Or breathe the morning air on the hills or the salty breezy air of the sea. Oxygen makes you magnetic and causes your thoughts to attract whatever you are asking the universe.

The quality of the air and the oxygen in it is best in the morning, because the production of oxygen by the plants and trees is done at night. This is the reason why when we wake up in the morning to go to the office, we notice that the air is cool and fresh, because the oxygen has just been produced. We become more energetic and alert when we breathe in the morning air, as compared with the afternoon air.

If you can wake up at 5 am in the morning (I suggest you do because a lot of successful people wake up at this time as a matter of discipline), do your meditation, visualization and deep breathing at the same time by an opened window, provided it is not too cold. I enjoy the stillness of dawn in New England during the spring with the fresh crispy air in the garden. As I sit on the lawn chair I meditate, visualize and performed deep breathing and sent out my order to the universe. With the sound of birds chirping in the distance, it makes my meditation surreal and powerful. After spending about 20 minutes on this, I reward myself with a hot cup of tea. What a wonderful way to start the day.

The quality of the manifestations by the universe and the end result is dependent on the quality of your thought power. The signal that you send out has to have the power of electro-magnetic energy harnessed from the earth’s magnetic poles and the fresh oxygen of the morning. When you are magnetic, the universe will hear you more clearly, because your thought waves are more powerful. You will begin to notice life starting to change for the better. Your wishes will come true, you become healthier and more energetic, and people find you more attractive.

If you started to follow Benjamin Franklin’s program of taking one personality trait at a time there will be no limit to what you can accomplish in your life.

To insure success in any field you endeavor in, you will need goal-setting and will power. Plus you will need patience to lick the monotony and drudgery that success demands.

Repetition is Heaven’s fist Law and it is the best teacher. Never neglect the power of repetition. Repeating and re-reading will be your secret weapons for reaching your goals. Most failures in any project, be it painting a picture or creating a fortune is due to lack of patience and persistence.

Take the following golden messages of the Ages and make them your own. Absorb them, internalize them, and make them habits.

Purdue University made tests to show that material read only once is remembered on 2% two weeks later. Read more than once 6% is remembered. We think faster than we read so we have to go back and read the page again. Do it and you will see something the second time that you did not see the first time. If you start to read these wise tips every day, they can build up your confidence, tranquility, and assurance, so that such things as stress and worry can never touch you.

I have written my wise sayings on 3 X 5 cards. Over the years, I have collected over 600 of them.

At night before bed, I sit in my favorite chair, relax and breathe deeply. Then I reach for a stack of my cards and look at them one at a time and say them aloud. Then I put the one I just said on the bottom of the stack.

I don’t pollute my mind with TV, a cheap novel or the news before bed. This is a sacred time. It is these thoughts and emotions that will by the Law of Attraction, determine where you will travel in your sleep. The higher or lower dream state you will go to.

I also take part of my cards with me when I drive. I again don’t listen to the radio unless it is a station with uplifting music. Again, I take a quick look at my cards, say it out loud, and put it on the bottom of the pile. Don’t waste your time. Use it all productively. These cards work.

Samuel Johnson wrote: “He is the most useful teacher who condenses the most knowledge into short sentences that are easily remembered and applied. ”

Sidney Smith said: “The writer helps us the most who gives us the most knowledge and takes from us the least time.”

Will Durant said, “For every book I write, I read 500 books for gathering material for that one book.”

Here are some inspiring timely tips for you to start with. Copy them on 3 X 5 cards and add many more yourself.

Man alone of all God’s creatures, can change himself for the better.

We change ourselves by changing our thoughts.

The easiest and quickest way to change yourself is to set a lofty goal and work for it.

Look to this day; for it is Life, the very Life of Life!

Now is the best time to start anything.

Cut out all non-essentials. Cut all puttering and dawdling.

I will improve something today.

Your environment largely shapes your future. Take the time to select one that will shape the life you like to have.

Be tolerant. Everybody is fighting a tough battle, just like you.

Short as life is, we make it shorter by wasting time.

In wisdom and judgment men over 50 outshine men under 30.

Blessed is he who has found his right work; let him ask no further blessings.

The ultimate ambition is be happy at home.

Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events and happenings, and small minds discuss people and things.

Courage is not the absence of fear; it is the conquest of fear.

He who angers you conquers you.
